Where can I get a copy of Aistear?

English and Irish print copies of Aistear are for sale through Government Publications (01 647 6834/37 or 1890 213 434). Each copy costs €5.00.

English-medium settings in the ECCE Scheme.

In Spring 2010, one English copy of Aistear was made available to each setting participating in the Free Pre-school Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Scheme. The NCCA sent these copies to the City and County Childcare Committees (CCCs).

Irish-medium settings in the ECCE Scheme

This year one 'free' Irish copy of Aistear is available to each Irish-medium setting participating in the ECCE Scheme. The NCCA has sent these copies to Forbairt Naíonraí Teoranta and to Comhar Naíonraí na Gaeltachta.

Primary schools

This year two 'free' copies of Aistear are available to each primary school. The NCCA has sent these copies to the Education Centres. The NCCA is beginning a review of the Infant Level of the Primary School Curriculum (1999) starting with the language area. This review will be informed by Aistear.
