Legal Disclaimer and Data Protection

In carrying out its work, the NCCA strives to fulfil the requirements of data protection legislation which sets out the necessary standards for protecting data subjects’ privacy rights and processing personal data. As a Data Controller and a Data Processor, the NCCA’s policy document sets out the legal basis for gathering and processing personal data and the organisation’s responsibilities in relation to this.

NCCA Data Protection Policy

The NCCA has a Data Protection Officer (DPO) with overall responsibility for data protection. In addition, the organisation has a Deputy DPO who is also a member of the IT Team providing a direct link between data protection and IT which is particularly important in the area of cybersecurity. The DPO and DDPO are supported by a Data Protection Team which draws its members from across the organisation and reports directly to the CEO.
The DPO can be contacted at dpo@ncca.ie.
