Social Media Policy

The NCCA operate X, FacebookInstagram and Linkedin accounts, which are managed by the Social Media team at the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment.

All posts will cover developments in curriculum and assessment and related research and work with early years settings, schools and teachers/practitioners as well as highlighting events run or attended by NCCA staff.

Our Social Media accounts will be updated and monitored during office hours, Monday to Friday, but we'll sometimes post about and from events outside of these hours. We welcome and will read all @messages and posts. However, we won't be in a position to reply to them all.

Please do not include personal/private information in your posts to us. This is for the protection of your personal data and private information.

If you follow/like us, we may not automatically follow/like you back. This is to help our followers identify other accounts that we are following that might be of interest to them. If we do follow a Social Media account, it does not imply endorsement. If we unfollow, we are simply tidying our timeline.

Retweets, Likes and Shares may be used to highlight relevant appropriate announcements, particularly those by other Government bodies and educational organisations. Retweets, Likes and Shares do not imply endorsement. As a civil service agency, we won't be participating in party political debates/discussions.

Sending a message via a Social Media account will not be considered as contacting the NCCA for official purposes. If you need to contact us in an official capacity or you need information, please email us at info@ncca.ie, or check out our website - www.ncca.ie.
