Below you will find a dedicated support for each of the mathematical topics that children will engage with in Primary School.
These supports can be used at home to reinforce and consolidate the playful and engaging experiences that your child is experiencing in school. They include practical ideas and activities, suggestions for games, arts and crafts, book recommendations and useful online resources. -

The new Mathematics curriculum focuses on ‘how’ children learn as well as ‘what’ they learn. This resource, which can also be used by teachers in school, gives some suggestions for talking with your child about their Mathematics learning.

Learning Irish at Home
In school, your child is learning Irish as part of the Primary Language Curriculum/Curaclam Teanga na Bunscoile. The four tip sheets below have been developed to help parents support their children as they learn Irish. Each tip sheet describes a range of activities which parents can do with children at home ‘as Gaeilge’. These materials are designed to be fun and engaging for both parents and children.
