Consultation Workshop Materials

The consultation workshop materials are intended as a practical support for schools in thinking about and discussing the proposals in the draft framework.

The materials cover seven key areas:

• Vision
• The principles of teaching and learning
• Key competencies
• New time allocations: weekly, monthly and flexible times
• Transitions, continuity and progression in children’s learning between preschool, primary and post-primary schools
• A more integrated approach to teaching and learning in the junior classes

Each workshop includes a short presentation, questions for consideration, links to information videos and a short workshop guide. Schools interested in exploring and discussing the draft proposals can view and use the materials here.
