Early Childhood Education Developments
In Ireland early childhood education refers to the period from birth to six years of age.
Aistear is Ireland’s early childhood curriculum framework. Its purpose is to support the learning and development of babies, toddlers and young children in the range of settings that they attend before starting primary or special school. This includes homes, childminders, preschools, naíonraí and full and part-time day care.
