Post-Primary Consultations

Junior cycle PE and SPHE:

PE: Consultation is now open on the new draft specification for Junior Cycle Physical Education (PE). It is designed for a minimum of 135 hours of teaching and learning over three years. It is intended that this specification will replace previous Physical Education curriculum provisions in junior cycle. You can provide feedback on the draft specification through one of our surveys or make a written submission.

SPHE: NCCA is currently updating junior cycle Social, Personal and Health Education (SPHE). The background paper and brief for the redevelopment of junior cycle SPHE sets out the context and proposes the direction of change for an updated curriculum. Your feedback on this paper is welcome and valued. You can provide your feedback and suggestions through an online survey or a written submission.

Leaving Certificate Classical Languages and Arabic:

Consultation will begin later this term on the draft specifications for Classical Languages (Ancient Greek and Latin) and Arabic. The draft specifications will be available for consultation on our Consultations homepage.
